Toyota to delay plant opening

A Reuters story reported Toyota Motor Corp. has decided to delay the launch of its SUV plant in Mississippi by about half a year and ramp up production more slowly than it had planned.
Toyota reported that the plant near Tupelo, Miss., will begin production of the Highland car-SUV crossover in May 2010, about half a year "stretch goal" of late 2009.
